Turbines
Design and make Wind Turbines... This resource suggests ways that model turbines can be designed, printed and tested to compare their efficiency. This project will be suitable for Design and Technology, Science and maybe Geography.
(note the stl files are included as examples only, most are printable.... but print at your own risk!... better still design your own using 3D design software)

The guys on the BfB forum have really helped shape how this project has developed. There is a huge bank of knowledge amongst them and posting a question on the forum usually gets within minutes! The interest in this project means that there may be extra information or ideas posted after this was "published" so it's a good idea to have a look at the forum thread
If you fancy developing this project further you could consider designing/printing a complete wind generator. maybe an eco friendly battery charger :-) This link is for a site that sells wind turbine kits in the US. There is a pdf download that could give you some ideas on how to go about designing your own. windstuffnow website
