RapMan Challenge at Euromold 2010
Full Press Release: 3D Systems Announces Winner of RapMan Challenge
The first ever RapMan Challenge was held at the 2010 Euromold Exhibition and Conference as a live race to assemble and use a RapMan 3D Printer Kit.
The RapMan Challenge was created to benefit local design and engineering programs and representative teams of students came together during Euromold to compete for the fastest time to assemble and operate a RapMan 3D Printer Kit.

A complete RapMan kit is given to one of the winners.
The challenge resulted in a new benchmark of 13 hours to fully assemble a RapMan 3D printer kit. Two of the participating universities finished within minutes of each other.

In a side by side comparison it was impossible to distinguish the RapMan parts (left) from the parts printed by competitive printers costing over 10 times more.

The winning institutions, Bauhaus Universität Weimer and Technische Universität were awarded RapMan 3D Printer Kits and a supply of free BfB print material.
