Please note we currently have a 5 week order time. If you have a deadline before this please contact us via e-mail - sales@bitsfrombytes.com thank-you. This is our complete kit. It comes with fully programmed electronics capable of supporting three print heads and all mechanical parts for a single headed machine (an upgrade for multiple heads will be available shortly), in fact everything you need to get printing. We provide detailed build instructions for you which come in pdf format with animated assembly diagrams which are in 3D, can be rotated, zoomed, paused and have individual components turned on and off. These instructions can be found here.
If you have any questions about this, or any of our products please e-mail us sales@bitsfrombytes.com New Features RapMan version 3.1 includes acrylic cross braces which are designed to be easier to fit thus speeding up the build process whilst making it even more visually accessible. It also has fully redesigned electronics which can drive 3 print heads. Other Features The Version 3.1 is designed to run off an SD card and has a USB port to allow connection to your computer and it has a small OLED display. It comes with a new, purpose-engineered extruder that has a drive screw with sharpened buttress 8x1 drive thread made from EN16T steel. The drive shaft has bearings at either end for complete support and almost zero axial and radial play. The extruder is stepper motor-driven for precise control and has a double bearing pressure 'wheel' to give a more even pressure on the filament. The one-piece aluminium heater barrel and nozzle provides excellent heat transfer and has a 1mm, laser-cut stainless steel nozzle mount. The extruder now mounts through the center for the X axis for greater stiffness and is dismounted by a 15o twist to allow for easy interchanging of extruder heads. Once an extruder has been swapped onto the machine it self-homes to provide greater accuracy. The improved cartesian bot design has an improved Z drive with an endless belt (no joining required); an easy-adjust Z belt tensioner; greater Z travel and all four Z drives are bearing-mounted top and bottom. It also has both X and Y axes running on 12mm diameter bars for greater stiffness. Both X and Y axes run on linear bearings for greater accuracy and less sliding friction. All motors are direct-drive (no flexible couplings) to reduce back-lash to a minimum. All bars are stainless steel. Plastic feet are provided to prevent surface damage from bar ends. |
