Do as John suggests that is how most of us originally installed the sprocket, but you could also use some tape, put it across the one side of the sprocket to stop the nut and grub falling out. Then first screw the grub into the nut and drop it into the sprocket.  I used the glue from a hot glue gun to hold it in place until it is tightened.

Slice and Dice just got quite a bit faster and a lot more bullet proof.

John that is true. My comment was in relation to "thinking about applying".  If you have a provisional patent application submitted you have a year to test the invention and market before spending money on a full patnet ~ 260K. But if you have not sumitted a provisional and you publish it game over if they discover the publication in their review.

So redman9 you may want to remove your pictures ASAP if you have not submitted a provisional.

I think if the patent has been applied for and properly submitted then there is not problem publishing the pictures.  I am not expert but I think it depends at what stage in the patent process you are.

Ps. Don't know if it is very wise to post pictures online when you are thinking about applying for a patent.

absolutely...unfortunately  by law your design is now public and can't be patented.

Thanks for pics...

1-  It would be nice to see a ruler in pics close to 3d prints, just for quick familiarization.

2- Might it be possible to use accurately pre-cut supports (with old fashioned materials).

3- Can a model be divided into two or more parts? So that after the first part was finished, internal support could be lifted out. Then a second part started from where the machine left off. (Well, so to speak).

Unfold that is hilarious... When I lived in America (4 years) I really found that quite a lot of people do take things literally and that wiki article indicates such! But along with that came some of the biggest hearts I have ever found.

So, dad dug it up from his shed and it is indeed the product I found on google. It is called Plugsave and made by the dutch company BATO, searching for plugsafe leads to less results than the dutch translation Stekkersafe. I think this is a brandless product produced by Bato, which is just an injection moulding company and brought to market by various DIY stores. It is cleverly made, its a single pieces of injection moulded PP with two living hinges. The black rubber seal is overmoulded so to form one clean product. The only separate part is the black piece that locks the cables and prevents them from unplugging.

I don't know if this should withhold you from continuing with the product since it is obviously not available in your market. But I guess you can forget about patenting it, which is not the end of the world although I know that in the US people generally think differently about that Smiley
Sorry for being the bearer of this news but I guess its better to find out sooner than later.

Ps. Don't know if it is very wise to post pictures online when you are thinking about applying for a patent.
